Bed Creation Systems

Why doesn’t my wood fit?

Our bed brackets are designed to accommodate standard 2x6 lumber, which measures 1.5” x 5.5”. Ensure your lumber matches these dimensions for a proper fit.

What are the little orange wedges for?

The wedges lift the wood to the top of the bracket for a better fit and appearance. They may not be needed for every corner.

What if the drill bit gets stuck?

You may have hit a knot in the wood. Use the wood drill bit to get past the knot. Drill into the wood until you pass the knot and then switch back to the Robertson drill bit to continue.

Can I make a custom, extra-large bed?

We have only tested our kits up to a California King size.

Why do you recommend doing a dry fit first?

Assemble the bed frame without screws to ensure everything fits correctly.

You want to ensure everything is aligned properly before fully tightening the screws.

Absolutely! Our bracket system is flexible. You can easily take the furniture apart and reuse the materials for new projects.

What if I want to change the stain or paint on the wood?

No problem! Disassemble the furniture, refinish the wood, and then reassemble.

Can I change the colour of the brackets?
